I don't care if the only game you've ever played was Angry Birds or Pacman, everyone who owns an Xbox needs to at least play this Beta. A Beta gives you more than a demo of a game would, especially on this one. The developers at Epic are putting this out for download so that on September when the final version of Gears 3 comes out, it'll be perfect out the box. This is to avoid the mistake they made on the previous installment when the multiplayer experience was practically broken. The beta doesn't come out till the 25th of this month, but from what I have already seen in countless videos, it already blows most games out the water.
Notable/Awesome Additions:
- New Weapons
- Ability to slap a grenade on someone then kick them. Enjoy the view after.
- When you bring up the map, you can locate allies, different areas are named for easier navigation, and the weapons that are spread out on the map are pictured for their location.
- Females have entered the arena, and are playable characters.
- Dedicated servers so that online matchmaking is fast and smooth. The dreaded host advantage from the previous games will no longer be an issue.
- And of course, visually stunning graphics *nerdy snort*
